There was an age, long past, when children's adventure programming was resigned to three networks alone, and took place on the glorious Saturday mornings of yore. For kids everywhere, this weekly block of cartoon action was reward enough itself. For kids who also longed for post-apocalyptic tales, there was even more rejoicing! Ark II (which, coincidentally, had a monkey in it) and by 1980's animated epic called
